Annual General Meeting
Wednesday 28
June, 8.15pm
The Elvetham, Hartley Wintney
In the very pleasant surrounding of The
Elvetham Hotel, on a perfect summer’s evening, we looked back over the events
of the 2005-06 club year. As
mentioned in our previous mailing, the Committee reported that activities over
the recent months were regrettably somewhat limited despite the impetus gained
at the last AGM.
Given that situation, and the steadily
dwindling membership (we lost 30 members at renewal last year but still have
approx 150 members), the Committee suggested a ‘Countdown to Closure’ in the
form of a series of events through the coming club year culminating with the
2007 AGM. The meeting agreed that
this was a good way forward and if the events were well supported then the
closure decision could again be deferred for another year.
The existing committee were re-elected
for a further year (Roger Neill, Richard Paganuzzi, Sheena Sharp, Charlie
Beausire & Roger Hinds).
Members in attendance voted to donate
surplus income from 2005-06 subscriptions to The British Ski Club for the
Disabled. A cheque for £600 has
been sent and acknowledged with a letter of thanks..
